junkscience.com
this lot are a bunch of dangerous bastards their entire remit (funded by ExxonMobil among others) seems to be aimed at creating a false debate about global warming, claim DDT is safe for use and so on. Particularly foul is the "Ultimate Global Warming Challenge" which gives two statements one of which is looking for climate projections up to next century and asks you to scientifically disprove them, so far not to awful but the challenges rules are where the fun really begins especially

"Entrants acknowledge that the concepts and terms mentioned and referred to in the UGWC hypotheses are inherently and necessarily vague, and involve subjective judgment. JunkScience.com reserves the exclusive right to determine the meaning and application of such concepts and terms in order to facilitate the purpose of the contest." and of course being in no way biased "JunkScience.com, in its sole discretion, will determine the winner, if any, from UGWC entries. All determinations made by JunkScience.com are final." and anyone submitting an entry waives "all rights and claims against JunkScience.com related to, or arising from the UGWC." so we have a situation where you have to produce a new piece of work without enough time to have it properly peer reviewed so any mistakes that occur are more likely to slip through the cracks what is the payoff for the website they get to say that no one disproved there hypothesis highlight any mistakes, possibly misquote entries for there purposes and proclaim this all over FOXNews.com as Steven Milloy writes for them as well as running Junkscience.com

I'm Sooty apparently
While doing absolutly nothing I seem to have entered a strange parallel universe where I am part of a conspiracy of glove puppets and false goths against a "true goth" I found this to be a rather bizarre statement however I shall leave the paranoid to their paranoia. Needless to say others may name the paranoid but I have no desire to do so.

It wouldn't be an exhibition.....
if there wasn't some huge spanner of damocles hanging over the works and its just fallen. We (those on the committee organising said exhibition) have just been informed by the management at Ocean Terminal that they have double booked the room on friday the 17th so everything has to be out by the end of the 16th effectively knocking off the last 2 days of the exhibition.
